ECO EN EL CARRUSEL DE MI MEMORIA
The short film opens with a slowly rotating carousel, a visual leitmotif representing the loop of a mother’s memories, returning again and again to November 18th, the day her illness took hold of her life. The narrative intertwines her current reality with fragments of a past that fades like chalk on a blackboard.
Her daughter, who used to be her “doll” and is now her primary caregiver, navigates the ups and downs of her mother’s memory with love and patience. She is the only one who understands the silent echo that only she can hear: the memory of a name that refuses to disappear, an echo of love that resonates beyond the mental fog. An Echo in the Carousel of My Memory is a poignant and honest portrait of love, loss, and the resilience of the human spirit. Through a poetic narrative, it explores the painful question: how can one return to life when a part of oneself has been lost to oblivion?
