Atropos is a short film inspired by the true story of Stanislav Petrov, the Soviet officer who, on 26 September 1983, chose not to respond to a false nuclear-warning signal. His decision prevented a possible nuclear escalation and changed the course of human history.
The project exists to explore the fragile boundary between catastrophe and survival, focusing on the moral weight carried by a single individual in a moment of extreme pressure. Through a dystopian future and parallel timelines, Atropos reflects on human responsibility, the danger of automated systems, and the possibility that history can still be changed by one courageous choice.
