You Are More Beautiful Without You

Directed by

İzzet Kaya

An elderly tailor who listens to everyone’s troubles spends an ordinary day in his small shop, as he always does, when the doorbell rings. A woman enters, holding an old jacket, and asks him to mend a tear.
As the tailor begins his work, he finds a photograph, a cinema ticket, and a dried flower in the jacket’s pocket. These small objects revive a memory from the past.
The next day, the woman returns to pick up the jacket—but the tailor has not repaired it. Between them lingers a shared past, unspoken yet deeply felt.
The film tells the story of two people and their unfinished chapter through silence and subtle details.
