YONQUE & BLOOD
In a rural town in northern Peru, a young healer performs rituals to cure ailments blamed on witchcraft and envy. Under the strict control of her father—a man who consumes yonque (a potent local moonshine) while profiting from every “cleansing”—the girl becomes the instrument of a community desperate to believe. However, when a crucial ritual crosses the line between healing and violence, blood will begin to reveal the dark secrets that alcohol and local beliefs had kept hidden.

Very powerful film. Fear and ignorance cause harm to the innocent while others profit. I seen this happen too

Thank you so much for this comment. You put into words exactly what drove us to tell this story—how fear and ignorance harm innocent people while others profit from it. Hearing that it hit home for you means everything to our team. Sending you a big warm hug from the north of Peru!
