THE OYSTER AND THE PEARL (2026) – Trailer
Inspired by the work of Antonio Scuratti (M – The Son of the Century, 2018) and based on the research of Loraine Slomp Giron (The Shadows of the Coast: Fascism in Rio Grande do Sul, 2017), Le Ostriche Della Perla (The Pearl Oyster) seeks to expose the relationship of Caxias do Sul, nicknamed the “Pearl of the Colonies,” with the Italian fascist regime at the beginning of the 20th century.

The city of Caxias do Sul, here in southern Brazil, is nicknamed the "Pearl of the Colonies," but the population of Italian descent hides the "oyster" of its origins.
