The Machine Found Me
Directed by
Vadim Ehrlich
“The Machine Found Me” tells the story of a man who becomes obsessed with a mysterious mechanical device whose purpose seems impossible to understand.
Inside a secluded workshop, surrounded by clocks, mechanisms and fragments of an unknown technology, he begins to reconstruct the machine piece by piece. As the device awakens, reality around him starts to change. A mysterious ballerina appears like a memory from another dimension, strange landscapes emerge, and the boundaries between the real world and another reality begin to disappear.
The machine ultimately leads him to a vast, dreamlike world where he encounters a mysterious woman who seems to be connected to everything he has experienced.
What begins as an attempt to understand a machine becomes a journey into the nature of reality, memory and human connection.
In the final revelation, the protagonist realizes that he was never simply the creator or discoverer of the machine.
The machine had found him.
