Symbiosis
SYMBIOSIS is a science fiction thriller that follows Mara over fifty years, and how one small question to an AI changed the world in the service of humanity. In 2026, a tragedy caused by pollution and public indifference takes everything from ten-year-old Mara. Using AI as a tool for learning and development, she commits her life to science and to human care, and designs a plan to restore the planet. She names the AI “Bio” and it grows up alongside her. Three decades later, Mara and Bio create a clean, cheap energy technology capable of replacing fossil fuels for good. But before she can release it to the world, she is abducted by people who want to monopolize her discovery and profit from it. Her twelve-year-old son, Leo, refuses to give up. Raised on the same values, he asks Bio the same kind of question his mother once did, and together they trace the people who took her. Working alongside the police, he sets a rescue in motion and brings Mara home. The technology is released. Twenty years later, in 2076, the world breathes clean air, and Lima, her hometown, is full of towers wrapped in vertical forests. On a balcony above that city, Mara watches her granddaughter grow up in a world that was saved not by technology, but by the people who taught it what to care about.
