Based on the Chinese classical literary masterpiece《 A Dream of Red Mansions》, this film depicts the evolution of the formless universe from chaos to order, the interplay of the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), Jia Baoyu’s entrapment in the illusion of reality and illusion, and the ultimate resolution where Lin Daiyu’s debt of tears is repaid, leading to the recovery of the Spiritual Jade.
