Purse

While walking down an empty road, 19-year-old Bhoopesh finds a dropped purse containing cash and brings it back to his PG room. He tells his roommates—Bala, Prasanna, and Pradeesh—that he found ₹10,000. The group uses part of the money to celebrate, buying expensive whiskey and biryani, though Bhoopesh himself sticks to non-alcoholic drinks and vegetarian food.
The following day, a man wearing a white shirt and khaki pants, identified as “Venkat Coach,” arrives at their room claiming to be a police officer. He asserts that his lost purse actually contained ₹18,000 and demands the full amount back by the same time tomorrow, threatening serious consequences if they fail to comply. Once Venkat leaves, a confrontational moment reveals that Bhoopesh had secretly pocketed ₹8,000 of the original cash to pay for a gym membership.
Terrified that the situation will involve the police or reach his family, Bhoopesh turns to his roommates for help. Pradeesh takes charge, organizing a plan to pool their personal funds, borrow from friends, and pawn Bhoopesh’s gold chain to cover the remaining deficit. They intend to repay the pawned chain later by asking their parents for extra money under the guise of upcoming exam fees.
The next day, as the roommates anxiously await Venkat’s arrival to deliver the cash, a breaking news report appears on TV: the supposed police officer, Venkat, has just been arrested in a corruption case.
Later, on the same empty road, another rider accidentally drops a purse. A passing young man spots the lost purse on the ground, but having learned his lesson, chooses to walk right past it. Shortly after, the original owner rides back, spots the purse, retrieves it, and goes on his way.
