mon œil
mon œil (my eye) – a 1 minute experimental diary. CW: flashing lights / spiders / distorted faces / brief silhouetted nudity An eye that keeps coming back. Dolls, insects, shadows on a wall, and things watching back. mon œil — my eye — came from a simple dissonance. The eye watches but cannot touch. The spider touches but cannot see. I shot it on phone in 4:3 to make it feel trapped, like a memory. I used my own skin, eyes, clips and public domain textures because I had no budget, only ideas.

Consciousness and the observer effect mingling with quantum reality are puzzling. This film shows visualizes it well :o

Thank you Nikolas — yes, that dissonance is exactly what I was after. The eye watches but cannot touch, like consciousness watching reality.

I know the feeling but cant sum that in words…great work yuri

Thank you John, that means a lot. If it made you feel something you can't name, then it worked.
