Game
Directed by
Reza Saraei
A driver speeds along a highway, constantly accelerating, changing speed, and repeatedly braking. Throughout the film, the camera remains focused only on close-up shots of the accelerator, brake, clutch, and gear shift, concealing both the driver’s identity and the outside world.
In the final moments, the road ahead is revealed for the first time. A speed camera appears in the distance, and the driver slows down only while approaching it. Immediately after passing the camera, the accelerator is pressed to the floor once again.
GAME is a minimalist, metaphorical short film that explores the difference between genuine responsibility and performative obedience, revealing how people often choose to follow the rules only when they know they are being watched.
