Every ship is its own world, carrying its own stories. Most of the time, it’s not just cargo that is transported, but also longing, loneliness, and unfinished dreams and lives.
Set on a cargo ship sailing from Istanbul to Russia, the film portrays life at sea, where the crew lives together in a confined space and creates its own order. Coming from different backgrounds, these individuals pass time through daily routines and brief conversations, while feelings of longing, loneliness, and occasional tension begin to surface.
At times marked by conflict, at times by small moments of connection, this closed world takes shape. Alarga presents a simple and distant observation of a life formed in the middle of the sea.
