The painter
Dear reader,
This is the synopsis of the script.
Set in 1890 in Auvers-sur-Oise, France, The painter follows two american detectives, Morse L. Chokels and his partner Jason Thown, who arrive in the quiet village to investigate a mysterious shooting. A dying painter lies in a small house with a gunshot wound to the chest. Although he insists that he shot himself, the circumstances are suspicious. With only days left to live, he refuses to explain his motives and even rejects mercy killing, claiming he deserves to suffer.
As Morse and Jason question villagers, they discover the painter is widely disliked and considered unstable. Isolated, dependent on his brother for money, and plagued by melancholia, he lived on the margins of the community. Several suspects emerge, including a butcher who once fought with him and a waitress named Marie, who secretly works as a prostitute. Meanwhile, evidence from the crime scene- such as the missing gun and lack of powder burns-suggests the painter may have been shot by someone else.
Best Regards,Sean Crofts
