Nikolas Keskilammi

230 A.D.

An ultra-violent film showing early Christians in hiding under Rome and being persecuted: fed to lions and tortured for the enjoyment and laughter of the crowds. Blood and terror is spilled while the audience cheers in joy. Everything is shown and terror is contrasted with faith. Yet, love prevails even in the smallest increments. Focuses on the early varied understanding of Christianity. Oppenheimer level in scope. We jump forward in time and see that ultimately, Christianity prevails, but not as we have seen in the film, but as distorted versions. Ends in hope.
