Metamorphosis
Directed by
Sung En Lien
The animation follows a little girl who spots a butterfly. Curious and longing for wings of her own, she sets off on a whimsical adventure, encountering strange, ever-shifting creatures along the way. The butterfly appears and vanishes, guiding her through a world full of surprises and unexpected challenges. In the end, though the butterfly disappears again, she grows her own colorful wings—unique to her. Inspired by my own life, the story reflects the irresistible pursuit of dreams or someone we admire. Though the original goal remains out of reach, the journey brings growth, discovery, and the joy of becoming one’s true, vibrant self.
