DIY Project

Tears of blood you cry – said he

The main character is in the dark searching for a way out.
But all he is offered is a pointless struggle to achieve obvious things way too late and at too high a cost, which ultimately makes them useless and devoid of any value.
He is forced to watch the Catholic way to nowhere, and then he rejects the religious system based on death, suffering and corpses, which is only seemingly welcoming and promising. When you look deeper it’s just an empty space full of rotting Christs and buzzing flies.
The Christmas theme in the beginning shows just that. A cheap circus based on promises in which they want you to dance. Shiny lights, overpriced shitty food, plastic love, Santa Clause with his reindeer, and selfieboxes, but the most important thing is the Ferris wheel (because Jesus was born under one, I guess).
Then when you analyze it, it’s just a facade built around the idea of rebirth from the ashes, skulls and bones which they created themselves.
But rebirth, as they understand it, is based on pain, struggle, and taking a role of a clown in their play in which the character has no interest, because for Him it is not an option.
So he rejects it, says fuck you all, and evolves in the opposite direction, where there are no such things as martyrdom, or celebrating dead prophets.
There’s life, flesh, joy, and peace.

I'm personally not into "supernatural/demonic" theme films. I did like how you added the ai element into this though. I'm going to assume the ai app/software you used is a paid version? One's I use (free versions) don't give me the ability to have it create cool visuals as you did. Good job Miri. Looking forward to seeing your next.

Thank you, Kevin Yeah, AI is paid but not so much, it's worth it

This is a timely film I feel. Its interesting to see AI filmmaking combined with such spiritual allegory. What a great combination actually. Could be timeless... This makes me excited for the future of filmmaking!

Ouh can you tell me about how you did the Ai stuff? This is what I want to try next (a project in the making) for some inanimate objects. Much obliged.

OK, Liza. Here's how I do it: 1. Record a video clip. 2. Insert it in a video editing software. 3. Pause in a moment where you want the AI generated effect to start. 4. Export that frame. 5. Load the exported frame to Image to Video tool in an AI FX software, like PixVerse. 6. Write a prompt, that is what you want to see in the video generated from that picture. For instance: the camera slowly zooms out showing the figure from head to knees. He spreads out his wings and wraps them around his body. (An example from my last film) 7. Click Generate and wait for the effect. Sometimes the AI generates slightly different video from your original concept, but very often it is also interesting, so sometimes I agree with it and use the clip on the film. Like the prompt said that flies buzz around the head of the figure with black empty eyes, and the AI generated the video of flies crawling out of the figure's empty eye sockets. I liked the outcome so I didn't force my original prompt. But of course it's all up to you. Hope that helps If you have further questions, go ahead.

I meant more like which software I guess. But I guess it's trial and error and you have to pay to get anything usable out of it. Thanks for the answer, I wasn't notified of the comment (something to fix, Nikolas :P)

The best software I used so far is PixVerse. If you buy a monthly subscription for 10$ you get 1200 tokens plus around 100 tokens daily for publishing and sharing your clips, which would let you create around 40 scenes. The cost of a 5 second clip in 720p is 40 tokens. Allow some room for failed creations, coz the soft not always does what you expect. And you can always buy more tokens. As far as I remember 500 tokens cost 5$...
