Anastasia Gorina, Author at Open Film Zone

Anastasia Gorina is a Russian independent filmmaker, actress, and screenwriter, with a background in dramatic theatre and film acting. She graduated with honors from the Moscow State Institute of Culture (MGIK).

Her work focuses on psychological drama and auteur cinema, exploring themes of perception, inner experience, human psychology, and the subjective nature of reality.

Her directorial debut, May Night, is a psychological drama with elements of folk horror, inspired by Nikolai Gogol’s May Night, or the Drowned Maiden and reimagined in a contemporary context. The film has been selected and recognized by international film festivals.

Anastasia is currently developing new film projects for Russian and international audiences and is open to collaborations with producers, production companies, and creative professionals.
