In the women’s restroom of a small urban mall, the couple Ana and Carlos seek a moment of forbidden intimacy in a desperate attempt to save their marriage. What they planned as a quick, passionate encounter, however, turns into a claustrophobic trap.
As they try to reconnect, they are interrupted by a succession of women, each one carrying a world of private crises into that anonymous space. Sobbing, unexpected confessions, and a growing tension from outside the stall force the couple to listen to the dramas of strangers—dramas that gradually become a cruel mirror of their own relationship.
OCCUPIED is a short film about the secrets we keep, the truths we blurt out, and the loneliness that persists even in the most crowded places. Blending acidic realism with psychological suspense, the film transforms a banal setting into a powerful microcosm of contemporary anxieties and hypocrisies.
