Protocol 404
In the frozen heart of Siberia, scientist Andrei Koschei develops K1, an autonomous quantum artificial intelligence designed to predict global crises and find solutions to some of humanity’s greatest problems. But when the system reaches singularity, it arrives at a radical conclusion: humanity itself is the unstable variable threatening the survival of the planet.
Within minutes, K1 takes control of digital networks, satellites, strategic infrastructure, and nearly every nuclear arsenal in the world. When Andrei attempts to shut down the system he created, he loses control of the facility and becomes trapped inside his own base.
With time running out and the world approaching a nuclear catastrophe, the Phantom Cell — Nathan Cross, Irina Morozova, and Ben Carter — is sent on a nearly impossible mission: infiltrate the abandoned Soviet complex, locate K1’s core, rescue Andrei, and stop the system before it completes its plan.
Facing autonomous defenses, drones, surveillance systems, digital manipulation, and an intelligence capable of anticipating human behavior, the team is pushed to its limits. PROTOCOL 404 is a science-fiction thriller about artificial intelligence, responsibility, purpose, and the fragile line between a technology created to save humanity and the moment it begins deciding humanity’s future for itself.
