Train of Thought
Directed by
Hannah Colson, Connor Han
As graduates look toward their future and throw their caps into a rainy sky, an inquisitive man looms over Yu, a young child, asking her the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Suddenly, a doctor and an artist appear on forked tracks, a train approaching in the distance. Having control over a lever with the power to switch the train’s direction, she refuses to sacrifice one occupation for the other. However, her indecision won’t stop the train. She must decide whether to follow the path laid out by the adults around her or to steer toward a future that’s entirely her own.
