Loko 2: The Intruder

Logline:
A demon emerges, intent on raising an army of zombies. His goal is to exact revenge on his older brother. Several young people become embroiled in the conflict, gaining divine powers. For the rest of the world, it’s chaos in which puppets will play a central role.
Conceptual description:
The film is intended to be a social drama, exploring various dark aspects of life in the ostensible poetics of zombie horror.
The characters are people at a transitional stage in their lives, yearning for change.
Here we have a group of young people searching for work and love. We have a protagonist suffering after a breakup with his girlfriend. We have a no-longer-child, not-yet-adolescent, yearning to escape an abusive home. We have a pimp who dreams of money. And we have the main antagonists, brothers cast down from the heavenly pantheon for their fights and conflicts.
Each of these characters desires something and will eventually obtain it, one way or another. The young people will rid themselves of their earthly problems by becoming Loko with divine powers. Not yet a teenager will finally break free from home and become immortal as well. The pimp, dreaming of being a theater manager, will have his own ghostly troupe composed of zombies. The brothers will temporarily resolve their conflict, or rather, postpone it.
Each of the characters will change, along with the world they are witnessing the end of.
The film will tackle many difficult issues, both social and personal. Alcoholism, betrayal, domestic violence, social indifference, difficult interpersonal relationships, sibling rivalry, economic hardship, and madness.
All of this will be shown against the backdrop of a zombie horde.
The film will be brutal, blunt, naturalistic, and uncompromising in its language and means of expression. The characters will curse, various forms of sexual activity will be depicted, blood will be shed, and there will be hints of blasphemy.
This will demonstrate the brutality and indifference of a world where one simply has to survive, often at the cost of losing one’s innocence.

The subtle insight behind this project cannot be understated. Can't wait to see this in couple year's time. Everyone loves a good zombie flick. So is Loko logos or something? I don't know. For some reason, I'm beginning to feel more fondly about Bane in The Dark Knight Rises these days 😂😂
